FMPLLEN Celebrates 25 Years of Connecting Community, Education and Industry
This year marks a significant milestone for the Frankston Mornington Peninsula Local Learning and Employment Network (FMPLLEN) as it celebrates 25 years of supporting young people across the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.
Since its establishment in 2001, FMPLLEN has worked in the spaces between education, industry, government and community, creating opportunities that help young people successfully transition from school to further education, training and employment. Over the past quarter-century, the organisation has become a trusted connector, broker and advocate, bringing together partners to address local challenges and create pathways for future generations.
Guided by the belief that it takes a whole-of-community approach to support young people, FMPLLEN has built strong and lasting relationships with schools, employers, training providers, local government, community organisations and industry leaders. Through these partnerships, thousands of young people have accessed career education, work placements, industry engagement activities, vocational pathways and targeted support programs designed to improve education, training and employment outcomes.
Today, FMPLLEN continues to lead innovative initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of young people and local industry. Its work includes facilitating school-industry partnerships, coordinating statewide VET Access Transport programs, delivering career exploration opportunities and strengthening pathways into employment across the region.
FMPLLEN extends its sincere thanks to the many partners, supporters, members, staff, board members and volunteers who have contributed to its journey over the past 25 years. Together, they have helped build stronger communities, empowered young people and created lasting impact across the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.
As FMPLLEN celebrates this milestone, it also looks to the future. Emerging industries, changing workforce needs and new educational pathways present exciting opportunities to continue strengthening connections between young people and the world of work.
The 25th anniversary celebrations will continue throughout the year, highlighting key milestones, partnerships and stories that have shaped FMPLLEN's legacy and future.
