FMP Careers & Pathways Expo 2026 Inspires More Than 1,500 Students
More than 1,500 students from across the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region explored their future possibilities at the FMP Careers & Pathways Expo 2026, held on Tuesday 9 June at the New Peninsula Centre in Mount Martha.
The revitalised expo welcomed over 90 exhibitors representing industry, employers, universities, TAFEs, registered training organisations, apprenticeships, support services and community organisations, providing students with valuable insights into the many pathways available beyond school.
Designed for students in Years 9–12, including those undertaking VCE, VCE-VM and VPC, the FMP Careers & Pathways Expo exists to inspire young people by connecting them with diverse study options, real-world pathways and interactive experiences that help turn curiosity into confident future choices.
A standout feature of this year's event was the Careers Quest Challenge, which encouraged students to engage directly with exhibitors, ask questions and discover new opportunities throughout the expo. The initiative helped spark meaningful conversations and ensured students made the most of their experience.
The event's new home at the New Peninsula Centre proved a fantastic success, providing a vibrant and welcoming space for students, educators and exhibitors to connect. Attendees also enjoyed a range of local food trucks, helping create a lively festival atmosphere throughout the day.
The FMPLLEN extends our sincere thanks to major sponsor Chisholm, whose ongoing support helps make the expo possible. Appreciation is also extended to our valued partners Mornington Peninsula Shire and Frankston City Council for their continued commitment to supporting career education and future pathways for local young people. Special thanks to Councillor Cam Williams (Tootgarook Ward) for attending the Expo and showing his support for the education, aspirations and future pathways of local young people.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the thousands of students who attended with enthusiasm and curiosity, as well as the teachers and school staff who supported and accompanied them throughout the day.
The success of the expo would not have been possible without the incredible exhibitors who generously shared their time, expertise and opportunities. Thank you to the many representatives from industry, education, training providers and support services who helped students explore future careers, study options and pathways with confidence.
The FMP Careers & Pathways Expo continues to grow as a key regional event, helping students make informed decisions about their future while strengthening connections between education, industry and the wider community.
