Top tips to STAND-out at this year’s Industry & Job Expo

Congratulations on booking your stand at the 2025 Industry & Job Expo! Your involvement is strengthening the local workforce for our region and supporting young people to build their futures. Now, it’s time to ensure your stand has impact…

A successful presence at an Industry & Job Expo requires a little creativity, preparation and engagement. Thoughtfully designed stands with interactive elements and visually appealing features are key to standing out and providing attendees with an easy way to start a conversation with you.

  1. ‘Gamify’ with interactive stands: Encourage participation with a live demo, playful activity, trivia quiz, sticky notes question wall or a tactile experience. This encourages engagement and provides a talking point.

  2. Stand OUT to stand-out: Standing out from behind your table will allow students and jobseekers to approach you for discussion more easily. Stand to the side or in front of your stand for approachability. Have some conversation starters ready to help the attendees who would like to engage but find it hard to get started.

  3. Showcase your brand’s personality: Visual appeal is extremely powerful. Choose a theme that reflects your company’s identity, such as tech-inspired, eco-friendly, or creative. Branded tablecloths, high-quality posters and banners and thematic backdrops are simple yet effective ways to reinforce your brand identity.

  4. Hire a mascot or 3D model / inflatable: A friendly mascot or eye-catching inflatable can make your booth more memorable and approachable, creating fun and engaging moments for attendees.

  5. Merchandise with meaning: Create a memorable and positive association with your brand with a ‘giveaway’ or merchandise that ties into your company’s values or services and is inclusive.

  6. Get on your socials: Generate online kudos by posting about your involvement in the event.

Thank you for your involvement in this important event for our region. You are not only supporting local industries, but the young people of our region – our future!
