SWELLS for Schools

On Wednesday 4 June, the School Wellbeing and Services (SWELLS) Network joined together to work on their mission of ‘Enhancing School Support Through Community Collaboration’.

SWELLS represents a significant step forward in promoting the wellbeing of students and staff. In fostering collaboration between school wellbeing staff and community services, schools can create a supportive, inclusive, and thriving environment that benefits the entire community. With a focus on sustainability, the network can continue to evolve and adapt to meet the changing needs of schools and their communities.

This week’s session addressed the key topics:

  • Clarifying the understanding of referral pathways for people who are undiagnosed but still wanting/require support

  • In School programs that promotes mental health in a positive way

  • Find out about services available for families, children and young people needing mental health support.

The SWELLS was created in partnership with FMPLLEN, Family Life, Mornington Peninsula Youth Services, Frankston Youth Services and School Focused Youth Services, and addresses the need to collaborate and share knowledge to support our young people in our region.
