Students on-site

A group of Year 10 students from Dromana College recently had the exciting opportunity to visit HMAS Cerberus, Australia’s primary Navy training base located on the Mornington Peninsula. The excursion was designed to introduce students to the wide range of career paths available within the Australian Defence Force.

Throughout the day, students explored state-of-the-art training facilities, spoke with serving Navy personnel, and got hands-on with interactive demonstrations showcasing roles in engineering, communications, logistics, and more.

The experience provided valuable insight into military life and sparked curiosity about future pathways—many students walked away inspired and eager to learn more about defence careers.

Dromana College extends its sincere thanks to the staff at HMAS Cerberus for their ongoing support and for providing such an engaging and informative experience. Opportunities like these are invaluable in helping our students explore potential futures and develop career aspirations.

Dromana College’s Building & Construction students also visited the new Frankston Hospital Development.
