The FMPLLEN annually organises the Peninsula Applied Learning Awards (formerly the Peninsula VCAL Awards) to highlight the outstanding accomplishments of young individuals in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.

This community event, attended by over 250 participants, including parents, schools, and government and industry representatives, celebrates achievements in applied learning. The awards aim to formally recognise and honour the talents, innovations, and achievements of young people, fostering a positive impact on both students' lives and the region as a whole.

The 2023 awards were a success, attributed to the collaborative efforts of FMPLLEN, schools, industry partners, and the local community, with vital support from sponsors endorsing the mission to promote excellence in applied learning.
